Dead Bear Obsession Threatens Reality

Dead Bears Everywhere

T.S. Eliot wrote “Humankind cannot bear very much reality.”  Four out of five people are obsessed with dead bears and see them everywhere.

A friend, frozen with fear, sits silently in the dark outside of his garage as an 800 lb dead black bear walks past. A mother chased down a forest path and through a swamp by a dead mother bear and her cubs.  A child is terrified by a dead polar bear rising from a pool of chlorinated water.  And the turtles just watched.
